    Cover Reveal and new series!

BOUNDLESS is the beginning of a new series set in Jarra, taking place at about the same time as While the Gods Slumber, but in a different part of the continent.  The novella BOUNDLESS will be released by early October 2024, but subscribe to my newsletter, Serenade, on the bottom of my welcome page for updates to the series, requests for ARC readers, free stories, and more!

    Assimilated

My latest story on Literotica, Assimilated, is a type of sequel to my Dominique Marks’ ebook War Dance.  This too is an enemies-to-lovers erotic romance, set in the same cultural milieu, but with a much stronger power exchange theme.  However, where War Dance was (mostly) hetero-, Assimilated is decidedly queer and much more explicit.

    You can read Assimilated here!

While the Gods Slumber series bundle!

The While the Gods Slumber series contains some of the first stories I shared with the world.  As I move on to new stories, I wanted to make this series as accessible as possible.  So I re-edited and re-formatted the main stories in one 190,000 word bundle for the price of a single book.  It will soon be available on both Amazon and Smashwords, but it is currently available on Smashwords pre-sale at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1393490.

    January 2023

Greetings and Happy New Year!  This site was down for much of 2022 due to technical issues, and for that, I apologize.   I’ve begun to update the site with all of the new content from last year, including a couple of new Free Stories and the final books of the While The Gods Slumber series.  Going forward, expect to see new updates and additions more regularly here.  I’d like to maintain this website as a reliable source for folks who want to follow my writing, especially given Twitter’s uncertain future.

As to what I am currently writing, I have a Yancy Ball Jarra novel in the works that follows a new character, Whisper.  You can meet Whisper in the final While the Gods Slumber story, Convergence, or read Whisper’s first story here.

During the latter part of 2022, I developed an Afrosurrealist short story into a novel, and I am currently finishing that novel before I look for an agent.  It is set in the early years of the Harlem Renaissance, has elements of cosmic horror and romance, and is a celebration of the art and culture of the period.  This will be a Dominique Marks title (i.e., non-erotica). I’d love to have it out early this year, but since its publishing route is currently unknown, that may not happen.  However, look for excerpts and updates about its progress.

Finally, as a another means of keeping folks informed on my writing, 2023 is the year I plan to get my newsletter up and running!  If you’ve signed up for the newsletter already, great!  Expect to get updates on my stories, excerpts, and my thoughts/recommendations on related pop culture.  I’m also excited to plug and recommend other writers you may enjoy.  There are amazing stories out there, especially in the fantasy erotica realm, that deserve more attention.

    Whispered Words

Whispered Words is my latest short story.  You can find it here on Literotica.  It is also the opening part of a new Jarra-based novel coming soon!  The story centers Whisper – a character first introduced in the novel Convergence – and it begins several months after Convergence ends.

    The Half’s Way

The Half’s Way is a story that I submitted to Literotica’s Leinyere shared fantasy world event in January 2022.  You can find the original novella here and find other fabulous stories from the event on Literotica by searching with “Leinyere” as a tag.

The Half’s Way, therefore, does not take place my world of Jarra.  However, it has many of the elements I explore in my Jarra stories.  The Heroine’s Journey, issues of identity  and cultural difference, and rollicking fantasy adventure.  The Half’s Way is the beginning novella of a short series that I published in early 2022 called Shauba’s Tale.

Shauba is a half-orc woodcutter torn between human and orc cultures, looking for her place in the world.  Her stories contain more profanity and violence than the Jarra stories, but also plenty of humor, romance and erotic encounters.  I recommend them if this kind of story interests you, as a window to my own journey developing as a writer.

The revised and published version of the The Half’s Way is entirely FREE on Smashwords, downloadable in multiple formats.  If you want to read the rest of Shauba’s Tale – Heist at Highridge, and The Fulcrum – can be purchased there as well as on B&N, Kobo, and other retailers.  On Amazon, The Half’s Way is included with the second novella, Heist at Highridge.

    August 2021 Updates

Book Five of While the Gods Slumber is now live!  Night of the Forgotten is available on Amazon and Smashwords.  What started as a Halloween-themed story details Zhura and Keya’s first adventure together, and Zhura’s attempts to put her affairs in order while she builds trust with her new companion.

I’ve also posted a map of Zhura’s western travels during the series on the Free Stories page.

    Map of Zhura’s Journey

This map shows the western portion of Zhura’s journey, with her home village Boma in the central north of the map, and the path east through the village of Kichinka.

The southern portion of the map depicts the Nubic Kingdoms, with their capital cities.  Zhura’s journey ends in Morore, in the series finale, Convergence.

More maps to come, including Ikanje State in the east!

    June 2021 Updates

Convergence, the last novella of the While the Gods Slumber series, is now in the editing stage! I’ll basically be publishing a new book in the series each month. Convergence will be available in October.

In the coming months, I’ll be scheduling free promotions through Bookspry.com on Amazon, and I will post them here on the website.

The first will be for Legacy, on July 18th.
